The Boardwalk is the big cruiser that can catch the smallest of waves. You can surf this board and maintain a barbecue and ice cream diet. You can also teach practically anyone to surf on it.
With three water-resistant stringers we’ve built it to take a beating, which makes it a favourite with beginners, surf schools and rental fleets. A tapered tail gives it more manoeuvrability than other large soft tops. The three screw-through fins are stiff enough to track straight but won’t hurt you if you run into them.

3 marine wooden stringers coated with an epoxy nano-coating to resist water absorption, surrounded by a proprietary EPS foam and a colour-fast, UV-resistant soft top. The deck has a wide texture and doesn’t need wax, though wax will improve grip. The whole board is heat laminated with no harmful dyes, glues, resins or toxins, in a factory that runs on collected rainwater. All materials are recyclable.
6 epoxy-coated magnets are embedded in the foam beneath the HDPE slick bottom, projecting a magnetic field into the water around the rider. The field overwhelms a shark’s electroreceptor system and causes discomfort, without harming the animal. No batteries, no charging, no maintenance.
Every Rock-It board also carries the zebra-striped sea camo slick, a visual deterrent based on 2013 research from the University of Western Australia. Testing and disclosures
SharkGuard reduces risk but does not eliminate it. SharkGuard is a deterrent that helps reduce the risk of unwanted shark interactions. We do not guarantee complete protection or prevention of all shark encounters, and we do not guarantee it works equally across all species. Ambush attacks from large predatory species will not be deterred.
Magnetic field and medical devices. SharkGuard uses strong magnets. People with pacemakers, defibrillators or other implanted medical devices should not handle or ride a SharkGuard board without consulting a doctor. Keep sensitive electronics (hard drives, credit cards, phones) at least 30 cm from the board.
Do not attempt to remove magnets. Any attempt to remove, damage or alter the magnets can injure the user and will void the warranty.
Due to size this board has shipment restrictions. Standard carriers won’t take it, so we use private couriers with limited range. If we can’t ship to you, we refund the order.
In-stock orders usually ship within one business day from Ocean Grove, Victoria. Pick-up from the warehouse is welcome. Unopened, unused boards can be returned within 30 days for a refund of the purchase price. Full policy
